Ovid’s 'Metamorphoses' is a poem comprised of 250 stories containing the theme of metamorphosis, spanning from the creation of the world till Julius Caesar’s death. Such notable stories from this poem include the mythological story of Apollo and Daphne. For this cover illustration, I decided to portray Daphne’s metamorphosis into a laurel tree with a contemorary flat design apprach.The complementary colour palette was influenced from the green hue of leaves.
